Recent changesRecent changes to flights from the UK to Madrid have been focused on the inauguration of flights by Ryanair between East Midlands and Madrid as well as between Liverpool and Madrid. Scheduled flights by Spanish low cost operator Air Comet between Madrid and London Gatwick have also been a welcome addition. On the negative side British Airways decision to sell its regional arm to Flybe of the UK has seen flights between Madrid and Glasgow and Madrid and Manchester stopped.
Alternative RoutesIf you cannot find cheap flights to Madrid or if timings are not convenient why not try either Valladolid or Zaragoza as alternatives and take the high speed train direct to downtown Madrid? The AVE service takes approx 45 minutes from Valladolid and 1hr 15 minutes from Zaragoza. Both airports are served by Ryanair from the UK.
