Madrid Zoo
& Aquarium

Madrid zoo has to include a bear as per the citys shield

The Madrid Zoo & aquarium complex is conveniently located next door to one of Madrids Theme parks in the south of Madrid in the Casa de Campo park.

Easily and quickly reached by both Metro & Bus its many animals and sealife have something to keep all the family entertained!

Divided into areas for each continent, as well as special areas for sealife and aviaries, the 3000 plus square meters are home to animals as diverse as Dolphins Koalas & Rhinos! This is also one of the last places in the world where you can still see the Iberian lynx (An endangered species native to the Iberian peninsula).

The Zoo takes part in many international breeding programmes and is considered to be one of the worlds leaders for certain species. Justifiablly so the Zoo is proud of this reputation and is more than happy to explain wildlife conservation to all ages.
