Madrid Oviedo

Madrid Oviedo is actually flown to Asturias airport (named after the region instead of the city) and has numerous flights throughout the day by both Iberia mainline and the regional airline Air Nostrum. All flights depart from terminal 4 at Madrids airport

Four regional trains travel from Madrid to Oviedo daily, taking around 4.5 hours in each direction. A one-way trip costs just over 45€, with a round trip price being slightly less than double the single fare at 75,50€.

Online reservations are possible direct with the Spanish train company Renfe and as with all trains to Asturias depart from the northern Madrid train terminus at Chamartin.

A bus trip from the Mendez Alavro station in Madrid to Oviedo takes approximately 5 hours and there are a number of services to choose from. 12 daily coaches serve the route with some of them being the enhanced comfort Supra+ buses. The regular buses cost an eminently reasonable 31€ one way and 60€ return with prices for the Supra services rising to 50€ single and 93€ return.
